From December 2 to 7, 2008, Miami and Miami Beach hosted the largest party in the art industry when Art Basel Miami Beach 2008 took over the Miami Beach Convention Center. Radiating outward from there are independent art fairs on Collins Avenue and across the Bay in the Miami Design District and Wynwood Arts District.
